Good Morning Residents and Community,
It looks like we’re heading into a beautiful day as we move toward the weekend.
I have a few important announcements to share this week:
JCEO & Community Support
Renee and the team at JCEO served 47 families this week through our Fresh Food Mondays program. In addition, we received a generous donation of clothing and cookware, which are now available on our Community Cares shelves. We are grateful for these continued efforts to support our residents.

For residents looking for assistance with utility costs, information on the Energy Affordability Program (EAP) through the Department of Public Service can be found here:

Au Sable Forks Fire Department
I’d like to take a moment to emphasize how important our EMS crews are to both our town and the surrounding community. The men and women of the Au Sable Forks Fire Department are dedicated volunteers who put their hearts into serving others. Here in Black Brook, we deeply appreciate everything they do.
If you are able, please consider supporting their efforts. The department is currently hosting an Autism Awareness T-shirt fundraiser, with shirts available for $25 each, and half of the proceeds benefiting the Autism Alliance of Northeastern New York. This is a great way to support both our local fire department and an important cause.

The department will also be hosting an Open House on April 18th from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the station. This is a great opportunity to meet your local firefighters, tour the station, see demonstrations, and learn more about what they do every day to keep our community safe.

Friendly reminder that registration for Baseball, Softball, and T-Ball is closing soon!
Deadline: April 14th

We are excited about a potential partnership with Elizabethtown Community Hospital to provide Stop the Bleed, First Aid, and CPR training for Town of Black Brook employees. This training is extremely important and valuable in helping ensure our staff are prepared to respond in emergency situations.
We appreciate the hospital taking the lead on this effort and look forward to more details as they become available, including scheduling and participation information. We will be sure to share updates as plans move forward.
