Anticipated significant weather conditions

January 23, 2026

Dear Residents,

As many of you are aware, we are expecting significant weather conditions across our region this weekend. In response, Governor Kathy Hochul has declared a State of Emergency for several areas of New York State, including our region, to ensure that resources are available and that everyone takes the necessary precautions.

I encourage all residents to take this storm seriously and prepare in advance. This includes securing loose outdoor items, checking heating sources, stocking essential supplies, and avoiding unnecessary travel if conditions worsen. Most importantly, please look out for one another; check in on elderly neighbors, those with medical needs, and anyone who may need extra assistance during severe weather.

I would also like to share the following message we received from the Clinton County Youth Bureau:

“Due to the Governor declaring a state of emergency, all county sports practices and games are canceled starting today and will remain canceled through the end of the emergency. Stay safe and warm, everyone!”

We will continue to share updates as they become available. Thank you for your cooperation, preparedness, and for supporting one another during this time.

Please stay safe and warm. I’m always here and available at any time if you need support; 518-524-7966.
