BOIL WATER ORDER WD#2

June 1, 2026

WATER DISTRICT #2 BOIL WATER ORDER UPDATE

Residents of Water District #2 are reminded that a Boil Water Order remains in effect until further notice due to a temporary loss of system pressure caused by a backup generator malfunction that occurred during the early morning hours of June 1, 2026.

Power has been restored to the treatment plant, and the required water quality sampling is underway. The order will remain in effect until two consecutive satisfactory water samples have been collected and approval has been received from the Clinton County Health Department.

Until the order is lifted, all customers in Water District #2 should:
• Bring tap water to a rolling boil for at least one minute before using it for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or food preparation.
• Alternatively, use bottled water certified by the New York State Department of Health.

Water may continue to be used for bathing, laundry, and other non-consumptive purposes.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work through the required testing process. Additional updates will be provided as information becomes available.

For questions, please contact the Town of Black Brook Water Department at (518) 569-5410.
